Dr. Griffith and Dr. Staton are educated, trained and licensed to practice optometry to the fullest limit of California law. The services they provide range from eye examinations for glasses, contact lenses, refractive surgery, treatment of dry eyes, allergic eyes, and “pink” eyes. They remove foreign bodies from the cornea and conjunctiva, diagnose diabetic eye disease, identify vision related learning disorders and treat blepharitis.
Dr. Karen Griffith has practiced optometry in Petaluma since 1988. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry. Her patient experience is vast, examining and treating six-month-old infants to dementia patients in a local skilled nursing facility. Dr. Griffith is a a member of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Sections and the Ocular Wellness & Nutrition Society.
Dr. Griffith was 16 years old when she decided to become an optometrist. Having worn glasses for many years, she was jubilant the first time she put on contact lenses. She still remembers the excitement of experiencing clear vision after each visit to the eye doctor and wanting her patients to share the same clarity.
Dr. Kelly Staton graduated from University of Houston School of Optometry. Dr. Staton is educated, trained and licensed to practice optometry to the fullest limit of California law. She has worked with Dr. Griffith since 1997. A California native, Dr. Staton enjoys yoga and walking.
