If you normally wear contact lenses, wear them to your appointment. Bring your prescription glasses, too.
The doctors will want to know what medications and supplements you are taking.
Plan to have your eyes dilated. Pupil dilation will last 3-4 hours. You will be sensitive to light and seeing up close will be difficult. Please plan ahead, arrange for a driver if you are uncomfortable driving with dilated pupils. Most people do fine with sunglasses.
